In these terms and conditions Amuigh Faoin Aer Teoranta is referred to as Ireland by Bike, “we” or “our”. References to “you” and “your” or “the client” and “clients” mean the first named person on the Ireland by Bike Booking Form and all other persons on whose behalf a booking is made.
1. Booking
In order to book a tour with Ireland by Bike you must complete our Booking Form using our online booking system. The contact person must be over 18 years of age. This person is required to give full details of each person/persons in the group.
The first named person is deemed to have read and fully accepted Ireland by Bike’s Terms & Conditions as set out in this document on behalf of himself/herself and on behalf of any other person/persons named on the booking form or any other person/persons added to the booking at a later date.
All adults must sign the waiver attached with the booking form. For members of the group under the age of 18 the waiver must be signed by a responsible adult on their behalf.
A deposit of €100 for every person named on the Booking Form is required at the time of booking. This deposit is non-refundable.
Full payment is required at least 30 days before arrival.
2 . Competency and Cycling Safety
In booking one of our cycling tours, you assume responsibility for your competence as a cyclist and your ability (medical and physical) to undertake the itinerary as set out in your cycling tour. You also accept the normal risks associated with cycling on public roads, and you realise the hazards involved in cycling and partaking in cycling tours.
3. Cancellations and Refunds
In the event of cancellations, we will refund payments (excluding deposits) as follows:
30 days to 21 days prior to the tour start date: 75% refund.
20 days to 11 days prior to the tour start date: 50% refund.
10 days to 5 days prior to the tour start date: 25% refund.
4 days to 1 day prior to the tour start date: 0% refund.
4. Changes to Bookings
PLEASE NOTE:
- We strongly recommend that you and all group members are 100% sure about all of your travel arrangements before booking and paying your deposit.
- Please note that any change made by you to a confirmed booking is subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.
- Changes to the original booking will incur an administration fee.
Administration Fees:
Administration fees as follows apply to changes to your confirmed booking. :
- €100 per person each time a change is made to the original booking.
5. Adjustments to Tour Itinerary
We make every possible effort to avoid any adjustment to advertised tours. If alterations to the published itinerary are necessary at the time of booking, we will inform you and give you the option to opt for a different starting date.
Occasionally, due to factors beyond our control, e.g. roadworks, adverse weather, etc. some changes to routes and itineraries may be unavoidable.
6. Changes to confirmed accommodation prior to your arrival
In the unlikely event that one of our accommodation providers has to cancel your accommodation booking prior to your arrival, we will ensure that we book an alternative accommodation for you which is as close as reasonably possible to, and of the same standard as, the accommodation we had originally booked for you.
7. Travelling to the starting point of your tour location
Each individual client or group is responsible for travel to the tour start point and for onward travel at the end of the tour.
8. Travel Insurance
We require all clients to take out Travel Insurance to cover the duration of their tour. This must be arranged by you. You must be satisfied that your Travel Insurance covers all of your personal requirements including cancellation charges, medical expenses, accident and injury cover, repatriation in the event of accident or illness, all existing medical conditions, death, loss and damage to personal effects.
EU residents should also have a valid (in date) EHIC card.
By agreeing to our Terms and Conditions, you acknowledge that you have, as a minimum requirement, adequate Personal Insurance Cover as described above.
9. Bicycles and E-Bikes
You are responsible for the safety and security of your bicycle or e-bike, and all reasonable precautions must be taken to ensure its safety and security.
Bicycles and e-bikes must be securely locked when left unattended.
In the event that your bicycle or e-bike is stolen or damaged, you are liable for the full cost of repair or replacement.
Bicycles and e-bikes are serviced prior to each tour. In the event that any issue arises with the function of safety of your bicycle or e-bike, you must inform Ireland by Bike Immediately.
10. Own bicycle or e-bike
If you choose to bring your own bicycle or e-bike, it is your responsibility to ensure that it is safe, well maintained and in good working order. You will be responsible for its maintenance for the duration of your tour. If using your own bicycle or e-bike you will need to provide your own panniers, locks and repair kit.
11. Passport’s, Visa’s, etc.
If travelling from abroad, you are responsible for ensuring that your travel documents are in order, including Current Passport, Visa (if required), Vaccination Certificates (if required), etc.
12. Luggage
All luggage must be carefully packed and firmly closed so that no contents may become loose during transit. Open bags such as shopping bags are not acceptable. Ireland by Bike can take no responsability for items carried in open bags.
Note: We ask that you think carefully about what you will need while you are on holiday. For your safety and for the safety of our staff, we ask that you keep you luggage light enough so that it can be comfortably and safely lifted. At the time of booking we will provide you with our suggested packing list.
13. Problems and Complaints
We make every effort to ensure that your cycling tour runs smoothly. However, in the event that you have a problem during your tour, you should contact us immediately. We will attempt to resolve the problem promptly.
For complaints made after tours are completed; we will respond within 2 working days.
For your own convenience we strongly recommend that you familiarise yourself with how to fix punctures, prior to your cycling holiday.
